Zero Trust networking
Identity-aware access, segmentation, and Zscaler ZIA, ZPA, and ZDX at enterprise scale—replacing broad network trust with explicit decisions.
- Secure access architecture
- Identity and device context
- Policy-driven connectivity
Cybersecurity + applied AI
I lead enterprise Zero Trust and security engineering programs, then bring the same rigor to applied AI: clear trust boundaries, measurable outcomes, and systems people can operate.
For more than 15 years, I have worked where identity meets infrastructure—from frontline support to enterprise security leadership in regulated financial services.
What I bring
Architecture is only valuable when teams can operate it. My work connects the control plane, the network, the telemetry, and the human experience.
Identity-aware access, segmentation, and Zscaler ZIA, ZPA, and ZDX at enterprise scale—replacing broad network trust with explicit decisions.
Incident response, firewalls, IDS/IPS, IAM, SIEM, endpoint security, and continuous monitoring with an operator's eye for evidence.
Research into assistants and agents that support analysis and automation—with evaluation, guardrails, and human review built in.
Turning ideas into working web, iOS, and AWS systems; testing the seams where architecture diagrams usually stop.
Independent research
R / 01The useful question is not “Can AI do this?” It is “How do we know when it works, when it fails, and when a person should take over?”
Threat models, data boundaries, identity, permissions, and approval points for AI-enabled workflows.
Evaluation, failure analysis, observability, and feedback loops that make autonomous behavior reviewable.
Turning security expertise into repeatable workflows without removing judgment from the humans accountable for outcomes.
Professional experience
From hands-on support to enterprise leadership, I have built a career around making complex technology safer, more dependable, and easier to operate.
2020 — 2026
Charles Schwab Corporation
Led enterprise Zero Trust initiatives serving 44,000+ employees and directed the migration of 4,000+ applications to Zscaler cloud security. Introduced ZDX monitoring and led cross-functional resolution of complex access and connectivity incidents.
2014 — 2020
Open Technology Solutions
Delivered cybersecurity services for three credit unions, operated 25+ Cisco and Check Point firewall platforms, and worked across SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF, MFA, endpoint security, VPNs, incident response, and tabletop exercises.
2010 — 2014
Credit Union of Denver + SECU New Mexico
Built the operational foundation behind the security work: application support, testing, deployment, training, identity administration, and a company-wide Windows migration that reduced service-desk tickets by nearly 50%.

Personal project
WEB / iOS / AWSA side project where I explore reliable real-time systems, cross-device behavior, accessibility, and operational feedback—built with Node/TypeScript, SwiftUI, and AWS.
